Cardigan Warmup

As another Vancouver summer comes to a end...sigh, we try to soak up as much sun as we can get and begin to shiver as the sun sets and the chill sweeps in.

We all have at one time or another started our day on a warm, sunny patio and then just as quickly as the sun sets we are cursing ourselves for not having a cute and stylish cardigan to throw over our shoulders.

Summer and Fall are all about cardigans as we transition into Fall. Your local Banana Republic, online favourites J.Crew and Anthropologie have a style to please everyone. Whether you're after the trendy long and slim cardigan or the classic cashmere crewneck, all you need to do is choose your colour.

So hang out on that patio a little longer and keep cozy on the coolest of evenings this season.

Little Things

A friend of a friend got me thinking on this sunny, spring afternoon that I, we should be blogging again. Life can and does speed by so fast that we don't notice the little things, let alone remember the little things.

So as a commitment to me, myself, I am going to notice stuff...little things...jestures that make me take notice. Thanks Stephanie.

I mowed the lawn at work for the first time this year...summer is around the corner, RIGHT?

Cooper's First Trip to the Point

He didn't make it to the sandbars but to ensure his swift return he conveniently left his soother behind.

5:45 am this morning

First thing that brought a smile to my face this morning....a lone red jube-jube perched on the running board of my dad's SUV.

First worry...a black cat running across the street in front of my car.

Guilty

I hit a duck on my way home from work last night. Poor thing, I couldn't swerve out of her path fast enough and in those seconds I screamed, covered my eyes and felt the swell of my throat. With my new, longer commute I guess it was just a matter of time.

I still feel bad....you may think I'm being ridiculous or just downright crazy, either way I sent an email to the British Columbia Waterfowl Society this morning, in hopes to find where to send a donation. It will make me feel a little bit better. SIGH.
